screen flickering in sddm / plasma

I have some issues with screen flickering since last Kernel upgrade to 4.3.3 or kde plasma upgrade. After experimenting a bit, I noticed that there is no screen flickering when using XFCE and lightdm.
In KDE plasme workspace the menu and panels flicker as soon as the mouse pointer is moved over it or even sometimes without doing so.

journalctl -b also has some strange outputs:

Kernel has i915 driver loaded. Anyone having similar problems?

Same here, I have kernel 4.3.3 since it was in [testing] and there was no flickering at that time. I suspect it is related to the latest update of qt5 or xorg-server.

I am also on i915.
