Hi Forum.
Still am I a newbie to Linux and Arch - but would like to know the difference from Red Hat to Arch.. Especially in the filesystem.
I have now for a while testet some different groupware systems, and found out that both Zimbra and Scalix are quite OK. But they are only able for Red hat and SUSE. Just for trying I tried to install them on a Arch machine. and I came up with some errors. Some missing packages - I install those missing packages via pacman, and tried again. But htey came up with the same error. the packages is
* sudo
* libidn
* curl
* fetchmail
* gmp
So what the reason for that?? And how can I fix these errors, that I would really like to get Scalix (The nr.1 groupware server) to work on a Arch Linux.
Do someone have an answer for this ????

Yup, I have an answer for this:

Do a package request for Scalix or make the PKGBUILD yourself.
Filesystems are the same on every distribution. If one is not supported by default, you can always compile it into the kernel.

The errors Are :
Sudo Missing
libidn - missing
curl - missing
fetchmail - missing
gmp - missing
and they are installed with pacman. The system does a search for depending requirements, they are installed but not found... THat´s why I´m interested in the difference...
And I have done a package request for those

I´m not that good to linux yet, so I don´t understand quit the difference between the systems. Both packages are to Red Hat - so my guess are that there are some difference in the way the systems puts their packages ???
