When starting Konsole now, it just hangs consume a lot of CPU and show no prompt. It just shows a blank window, and after a while it shows the menu bar, nothing else.
I've deleted the Konsole configuration files and same thing. Any ideas?
Well I needed to move out of the way the .kde and .config files, and configure again my desktop...

So you say your dialog is fine? Damn, I might really miss a package , don't know where to start though, I installed most all of the Frameworks and most of the Applications stuff.

I get mad to find a match of colors, because I like dark theme. So somewhere the text is invisible or likely (bright text on bright background). For example now I have the context menu white and there no dark font on it. But the problem is mostly caused by gtk applications.
Any suggestion.

You should report that to the GTK theme maintainers. breeze-gtk had some instances of those, but most of them were fixed.

sounds similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355540
Maybe you want to try:
# If you do not want KDE to override your GTK settings, select
# Appearance -> Colors in the System Settings and disable the checkbox
# "Apply colors to non-Qt applications"

Does anyone here have problem adding/importing/synchronizing contacts with a birthday with kaddressbook/akonadi?
Kaddressbook will crash after a contact is added or imported that has a birthday or anniversary. From then on, kaddressbook will crash at startup and korganizer will also crash when showing the to-do view or adding a new to-do or event.
However, adding or importing a contact without a birthday or anniversary will work normal.
This was tested on a test user that has a completely new and empty home directory. I did the test using the MySQL and SQLITE3 db engines with the same result.

Is it normal that I don't have the dropbox icon in the tray? I have everything up-to-date, hasn't the systray problem been resolved in plasma 5.5 ?

I thought that was what let it display, maybe not. Sorry, no other information than it has been working for me. Shows up in the tray, and shows up in the Entries part of System Tray settings.

I'm having an issue where all GTK applications' icons have black backgrounds in the system tray. Is there a fix for this or is it a known bug?
It looks like this:

Hi folks, I have one strange issue that is happening after I've cleaned my Plasma 5 profile.
The issue is the following: Device Manager on the Systray shows ALL my disks and ALL my NFS network shares, instead of only showing the removable devices like pens or external disks.
I've checked all the options, namely only show removable devices, but still the local disks are there... How to solve it? Any ideas?

I seem to remember seeing that this is a known bug that will be fixed in the next release of plasma....

- Sometimes Wifi won't connect. It stays on "Configuring network adress" forever, I have to restart the computer and then it works.

Without some details about what you have set up, or which sound facilities you are using as well as which hardware you have, I doubt if anyone could have any chance at all of providing any useful response.

If you have more than one sound card, please ensure that they have persistent indexes.

I'm seeing this, too, but only with kernel 4.4.1 and not with kernel 4.1.17.

Right click on the Device notifier icon in the systray, Device Notifier Settings, General, check "Removable device only". This should do the trick.
