Hello,
I have installed some time ago the package "smbclient" in order to resolve IP addresses on my network.
However, some updates ago, the NetBIOS resolution went broke and now I can't resolve the host name properly.
Can you help me digging in stuff, in order to understand? Thank you.

What are the contents of your /etc/nsswitch.conf file? Ensure you have wins in the hosts: line.

@Scimmia thanks for the link. I just installed the samba package and started winbindd. Will reboot to see if it works.

Someone upgraded to 4.4.3, issue is gone. But I am no lucky. Downgrade samba, smbclient, libwbclient to 4.3.6, ping and smbnetfs are OK.
