This is my first post, I am relatively new in linux word, sorry if a don't give the necessary informations about my problem.
After system update (linux 4.5, gnome 3.20.1, so many new thing), my Probook (6450b) does not play any sound on displayport, the gnome sound output chooser does not contains the HDMI/displayport option anymore . (it worked before and still works in windows 10, so not hardware or cable failure).

Update:
I installed pavucontrol, and if i choose the Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output (unplugged) profile, the sound works. So the problem is that pulseaudio don't detect the displayport cabel or don't detect the intel hdmi sound audio device. I don't know yet how can I solve the problem, but its pulseaudio related, or the new 4.5 kernel's intel driver don't detect it correctly.

I can confirm this. I am experiencing this same issue connecting to my TV trhough an HDMI cable connected to Displayport. I don't know if this is related, but I also have a CEC adapter from pulse eight [0] and the TV wont be recognized if I try to use it. Sometimes I can get the image passed trough, but not the sound, and sometimes there is nothing.
