[SOLVED] Can't establish a wireless connection to AP

I recently re-instaled my Arch System from scratch (Using the ISO) and for some reason, I can connect to my AP during the installation (wifi-menu) , but post-installation, I can't. However, it connects to a Hotspot created from another computer.

To note:
1. I did not re-run wifi-menu
2. I disabled the netctl service

Re: [SOLVED] Can't establish a wireless connection to AP

Please post the full output of:

systemctl list-unit-files|grep enabled

I think there may be a few problems with NetworkManager at the moment (check the forums), have you tried connecting manually instead?

Yes I have tried, but it failed. Here is the output:

The error message seems pretty clear, I presume you have checked the password?

You can run the `wpa_passphrase` command independently to check that the password is being hashed correctly.

Personally, I use prefer to pipe the `wpa_passphrase` output to a separate configuration file and then use the "-c" flag with `wpa_supplicant` to call that file.

It seems pretty clear, but that's not the issue here. I have checked the password several times over. It works on other devices.

I tried that but still no success. I created the config file and then used it where it gave this in return:

I am pretty sure the password is correct. But why is the issue still a wrong password? My password does not use any complicated or fancy characters at all.

I think this may be significant:

I don't know how to apply this patch. the man page didn't reveal much to me.

Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option?

Ah, sorry -- I just meant to highlight a possible problem with wpa_supplicant rather than for you to patch the program hmm

There have been a few threads with a similar error message and they were due to a wpa_supplicant problem but I'm pretty sure that has been fixed.

I suppose you could try downgrading wpa_supplicant to see if that is the problem:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Linux_Archive

The live ISO image will also be using a different kernel version so you could try downgrading that as well.

On my system the version of wpa_supplicant is 1:2.5-3 as opposed to the 2.4/2.5 which was outlined in the referenced thread.

Re: [SOLVED] Can't establish a wireless connection to AP

I tried connecting to the AP today and it somehow worked with ow issues.

The appropriate journalctl log messages are below. It is reversed so read from the bottom up:
