Trying to get Arnos-iptables-firewall and openvpn to work together

I currently have a set up whereby my router uses Arno's IPTables Firewall to set up iptables and have NAT working nicely across my network.

Given the likely "Snooper's Charter" coming in the UK, I've been looking at using a VPN all the time for privacy, but I can't seem to get Arno's and Openvpn to work together - NAT breaks across the network.

An added possible complication is that I use Dansguardian (and squid) for content filtering purposes and the firewall routes all incoming traffic through those.

I'd rather figure this out using Arno's since that's what I've been using, but I am open to using a different firewalling solution - even using iptables directly.  The problem being that I have very little experience in that area - hence why I'm using Arno's!

I have seen this, but, having tried it's suggestions, there was no improvement.

Thanks in advance for any help!
