VPN on my desktop Pc won't work, on Laptop it does

So basically I download the openvpn file from the provider and use

sudo openvpn --config "myvpn.ovpn"

It connects and all no error messages, but when I run firefox it just won't get a connection to the internet. On my laptop though it works flawless. System is fully up to date. Are there any conflicting programs I could have installed ?

Do you use a proxy? Do other programs work? Can you
