[SOLVED] PIA works through terminal not through networkmanager applet

If i go into my terminal and use systemctl start openvpn@US_West.service my vpn works flawlessly. I'd really like the applet to work, but when i try connecting to the server via the applet then i lose connection and it doesn't come back. I'm using the network-manager applet.
If I try to configure the vpn servers in the applet it shows that a username and password is entered so I'm confused. PS it shows a failed service if i run it in the terminal but still tunnels me to US_West. PSPS when i run it through the applet it doesn't show it being ran in the services. Is there anyway for me to get the vpn to work through networkmanager?

Re: [SOLVED] PIA works through terminal not through networkmanager applet

Fixed. Had to manually go into the VPN connections/configure vpn/the server you want to use/edit/advanced/security/cipher/aes-128-cbc. I did this all through the network manager applet. Also once you save the settings give it a minute to before you connect.
