[SOLVED] Replaced libdbus via pacman -Syu, eth0 gone, wif..

EDIT: This was a hard drive issue, please ignore.

I ran pacman -Syu. I was prompted something along the lines of this, I believe:

:: Starting full system upgrade...
:: Replace libdbus with core/dbus? [Y/n]

I read a thread on the forum. It suggested I pick the default "Yes", despite my worries that replacing libdbus could mess something up. Or, well, one user did, and I did not interpret the replies to them as disagreeing, in my sleep deprived state. Others were clearly disagreeing, upon my re-read at this time.

Now $ip link show
produces
1: lo
and
2: wlan0

Trying to start netctl@wlan0\x2dhome.service fails: "could not create a wpa config file for interface wlan0", "failed to bring the network up for profile 'wlan0-home" [...]

$ip link set wlan0 up
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not possible due to RF-kill

Only rf-kill is not on this machine.

I'm utterly confused, that much is probably evident. I hope I've provided enough information.

edit: A reboot fixed the problem??? This makes absolute no sense. I believe it might have something to do with the hard drive. Running a fsck after rebooting returned it to its broken state. probably something to do with this, instead, probably meaning this is in the wrong forum part...
edit 2: yeah, this is definitely a hard drive issue, probably just bad luck that it coincided with an upgrade. tagged as "solved"
