[Solved] Throttle cpu cycles for specific process

I need to throttle the cpu cylcles for e specific process / thread, not for the whole cpu / system. Is there any tool / kernel api call, that makes this possible? I do not mean to "protect" the CPU, i mean really slow down the process, even if there is enough free cpu power. Like making a an old computer game "slower", that implemented for a specific cpu speed, like playing on a 66 Mhz 486er wink

Good to know.  Thank you for posting the answer.  (You may want to mark the thread as solved.)
