I'm currently using MuPDF and it's really great, but I miss a bar with some common usefull information about the document et cetera. I also tried Zathura once, and I really liked that one - but it requires GTK3, which I really don't like.
I have tried several alternatives found in the repositories and several recommendations from various threads here, but I have yet to find a Vi-like PDF reader with a minimal UI and small dependencies. Perhaps what I'm looking for doesn't even exist?

I've used apvlv for years, with no complaints. It is Gtk3, though...

Oh, bummer. Thank you for the (very quick) reply though!

I use llpp, which is based on MuPDF. Building it was a bit of work but it is pretty fast, and has vim-like keyboard shortcuts.

Thank you! I have tried it a bit now and it seems okay. I have to rebind a few keys, figure out how to make the bar persistent and how I can get the font less blurry (or perhaps figure out how to use Terminus).
