Every week or so I do 'Sudo pacman -Syyu'. This time around it returned an error; which normally this is something I can fix. This time however it returned the error "failed retrieving file 'xxxx.db' from arch.localmsp.org : The requested URL returned error: 404" with xxxx being core, extra, multilib and community. Am I missing something? I checked the news and nothing seemed to pop out at me. Especially not missing repositories...

How did you create your mirrorlist?

Please paste the exact errors, not your interpretation of them: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855
Have you checked your mirror(s)?

Have you checked your local repository mirror(s) are active? That appears to be the problem the error message is pointing at...

EDIT: Jason beat me to it...by THAT () much.

It seems that arch.localmsp.org is no longer a valid mirror. It is listed in an old local mirrorlist file but it no longer appears in the official package or via the mirrorlist webpage.
In general, when a mirror starts 404'ing, switch to another. The news page does not report deprecated mirrors. Users should check for deprecated mirrors when merging the mirrorlist.pacnew file (or use reflector to autogenerate the list).
