NTP kernel reports time error?

I see the following error when I check the status of my ntp service:

ntpd[371]: kernel reports TIME_ERROR: 0x41: Clock Unsynchronized

The service is loaded and active (running).

KDE Plasma 5.8.4 and both Kernel 4.8.11 and 4.8.12

Any way to fix this?

Some more information here would be beneficial - which ntp software are you using...

What settings are you using? Perhaps post the /etc/ntpd.conf file for instance and the output from these commands...

ntpq -pn

as root...

systemctl status ntpd
