Hello ,
I have this issue with both fresh and still versions on plasma and xfce ,i have tried with a fresh profile or forcing opengl, increasing allocated memory but nothing changed.
On OpenSuse with LibreOffice 5.2 on the same computer it works fine.
I don't know since how many time the issue is present i just noticed that when i have seen the difference with OpenSuse.

For a start, post (in code tags!) your xorg log and the output of glxinfo.
Since you've access to a non-pronlematic setup, compare the respective data there.

Here are my logs:
Arch xorg log , Arch glxinfo and Opensuse Xorg log , Opensuse glxinfo.
On Arch i use fglrx but when i was using xf86-video-ati it was similar.

fglrx isn't supported at all, so please let's see something comparable :-)
Also check whether the compositor is relevant, SHIFT+Alt+F12 should toggle it on plasma and "qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation" should print some information (if it makes any difference - see whether the behavior is the same when it's suspended on both systems)

Yes i know that fglrx isn't officially supported by Arch but with the open-source driver i had annoying issues ...
With or without compositor i can't see any difference and "qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation" give me that .

You're on XRender compositing - better results with gl compositing (resp. what compositor is in use on the other system)?

On the other system opengl is used but on Arch even with opengl compositing Libreoffice stay slow with pictures.

With a libreoffice aur package it works better , between those package i can see some differences , on arch package in about i have "UI Render : par défaut; VCL: gtk3;" on aur package and also on other distribution i have " UI Render : par défaut" also toolbar appearance is a bit different .
edit: I solved the problem with the official package by launching libreoffice with
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtkso gtk3 is the problem ,furthermore it it also looking better visually with this workaround .
