[solved] Cannot change icon theme in Gnome 3

Hi all,

I used a Numix Icon theme for Gnome 3 on my new Arch Linux and It works fine.
But after some times (and I do not remember what happen), all icons return to default and changing theme in Gnome Tweak Tool does nothing in application menu (with Numix, Papirus, Arc and Hicolor icons theme).
Except for the Paper theme : I can see this theme.

Any clue to help me understand what's going on ?
I use a updated Arch with Gnome 3 desktop.

Thanks to all the Arch Linux community. That's a great distro.

Re: [solved] Cannot change icon theme in Gnome 3

Since the last update a few days ago, this happened to all desktop environments, not only gnome.

I have enlightenment and openbox environments installed and both suffer the same problem.

These forums are awash with similar threads of late, maybe your problems are related to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=221792
If it is so the soloution can be found here https://gist.github.com/cryzed/e002e705 … ity-bundle (and by searching these forums)

Re: [solved] Cannot change icon theme in Gnome 3

Thanks for the link : I read them and update my arch packages before doing anything. Last version of gdk-pixbuf2 and gtk-update-icon-cache was installed.
After a reboot, changing icon theme are working fine !
I mark that topic as solved.
