Today, in connection with upgrading Nvidia drivers, Pacman wants me to remove bumblebee. I don't want to...
This is what happens:
:: lib32-nvidia-340xx-utils and lib32-mesa-libgl are in conflict (lib32-libgl). Remove lib32-mesa-libgl? [y/N]
:: nvidia-340xx-utils and mesa-libgl are in conflict (libgl). Remove mesa-libgl? [y/N]
:: nvidia-340xx-utils and bumblebee are in conflict (nvidia-libgl). Remove bumblebee? [y/N] y
This is from the bumblebee wiki page:
Install:
Note: bumblebee depends on mesa-libgl and provides all nvidia-libgl, nvidia-340xx-libgl and nvidia-304xx-libgl to avoid dependency conflict between the respective libgl versions.
(..)
lib32-nvidia-utils or lib32-nvidia-340xx-utils or lib32-nvidia-304xx-utils - match the version of the 64 bit package.
lib32-mesa-libgl and make sure that lib32-nvidia-libgl is not installed
Have I done something wrong? Is the past hunting me?
Can I fix this, or is it a problem with Nvidia drivers and/or Bumblebee?

first conflict should be resolved with bumblebee-3.2.1-13
others conflict, i hope, with mesa-17.0.0-2 and lib32-mesa-17.0.0-2

You can use sprunge.us for that. Example adding my Xorg.0.log as a reference:
[jbs@dmb-gaming-laptop ~]$ cat .local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log | curl -F 'sprunge=<-' http://sprunge.us
http://sprunge.us/BZEL
[jbs@dmb-gaming-laptop ~]$
EDIT: When pasting journalctl output, make sure to limit it to only the current/previous boot with -b, see the man page. We won't (shouldn't) need to see your entire journal.

I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder. As it turns out, what I thought was my greatest weakness is now my greatest strength.
Everyday, I make a conscious choice to overcome my challenges and my problems. It's not easy, but its better than the alternative...

From what i can understand, your xorg server is started with the mesa driver (intel), and you gnome session with the nvidia one.
From the system journal, gnome fail to start because the glx driver from your nvidia card isn't loaded. I guess the configuration file from xorg needs to be modified.
A similar problem (but with nvidia driver) https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1693306

I downgraded to get a working system.
Not sure if I understand what I should do with the xorg conf files (I don't think i have any display related ones).
