Hello everyone !
I've just installed Arch linux on my computer, and I'm not really used to it ^^
I'm trying to set up the Wireless network configuration, following that tuto : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wi … figuration
The command
lspci
told me:
08:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)
So, acording to the tuto, Installed this package : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/b43-firmware/
But when I type iw dev, I got no answer at all, and iwconfig gave me :
lo no wireless extensions.
eno1 no wireless extensions.
If you have a solution, I thank you for your help !

you are wrong. You need to use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/broadcom-wl-dkms/

Thaks for your answer
I installed it (yaourt -S broadcom-wl-dkms), but it changed nothing (still got "no wireless extensions" runing "iwconfig").
EDIT :
Here are the logs:

@khfeng: I'm considering the patch now, I will need some time to verify that all changes are needed. Meanwhile, have you already tested that it fixes your problem? You can do it like this:
- Place the patch in /usr/src/broadcom-wl/patches
- Add it in /usr/src/broadcom-wl/dkms.conf
- Rebuild the module with dkms

@andreyv, yea I already did, I used it over a week now, no more crashes after resume. I'd say the patch is in good shape.

@khfeng: Thanks, I added the patch.

For some time already, I don't have the hardware for this driver, and testing changes is becoming harder. Therefore, I decided to drop this package. Good luck to the next maintainer; if you have questions, you can find me on #archlinux-aur.

@andreyv Thanks for all the hard work maintaining this all this time! Especially considering you no longer had the relevant hardware. Cheers!

Read the output you posted, you need linux-headers installed to use -dkms packages.

I don't get where it is said ? Are "kernel 4.9.11[8]-1-ARCH headers" supposed to be set by this package ?
I've still the same results.
I got the following output installing linux-headers :
yaourt -S linux-headers

I don't really understand : aren't "kernel 4.9.11-1-ARCH headers" what I was installing ? Why is it telling me I must install them then ?

It looks like your kernel is 4.9.8-1-ARCH, but linux-headers is 4.9.11-1-ARCH. The only way I can see that happening is a partially upgraded system. Fully upgrade your system and then reboot.
