Nvidia GTX 1060 causes black screen

I have Arch on a Eluktronics P670RP6 (Clevo rebranded) laptop and I am unable to get my graphics card working on it. I've tried installing Bumblebee and also tried everything on here but nothing worked. This issue has been happening since day one.

Upon installing Bumblebee and enabling Nvidia persistence or just enabling Nvidia persistence or even solely enabling Discrete graphics in UEFI causes the system to get stuck on "Loading initial Arch Linux..." (sorry, I don't remember the exact wording but it's the line that shows up right after "Init ramdisk"). In order to remove these error causing packages I have to book via a recovery USB and chroot from it.

Whenever I try to run a GLX application like compton I get

glx_init(): No GLX extension.

I have figured out that the minimal packages I need to run X solely on the CPU is mesa, the xorg-drivers packages (especially extra/xf86-video-intel), nvidia and nvidia-utils.

Is there any way I can get the graphics card working in Arch? I know it is not a hardware problem since the graphics card runs fine when on Windows.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
