dhcpcd to dhclient

is there any way to migrate to dhclent?  I am having tons of problems with dhcpcd and when I run dhclient it says that dhcp is locked, and I need dhclient to move from one wireless network to another.
And just wondering, why does Arch use dhcpcd?  dhclient seems to be more popular

Re: dhcpcd to dhclient

dhcpcd and dhclient perform the same functions, so it looks like using dhcpcd was a decison made by judd vinet, AL' s creator and main developer.

You can try installing this package from AUR.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: dhcpcd to dhclient

I've noticed that dhcpcd doesn't update my work's DNS on the DC but dhclient does.
