Hello.
i want to start sway from gdm.
Reading https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sway#Keymap , I created a two files:
/usr/bin/sway-de
#!/usr/bin/sh
export XKB_DEFAULT_LAYOUT=de; sway/usr/share/wayland-sessions/sway-de.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Sway (German Keyboard Layout)
Comment=SirCmpwn's Wayland window manager
Exec=sway-de
Type=ApplicationBut then, after
rebooting,
clicking on the "Sway (German Keyboard Layout)" menu of GDM
login with the correct credentials
the login isn't succesfull:
the login textfield (where you type in your credentials) disappears while the rest of GDM is still visible
After few seconds, the textfield is visible again, like when you first had started your computer.
However, the login is successful, if i use the default sway entry in GDM. (I mean the one below)
/usr/share/wayland-sessions/sway.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Sway
Comment=SirCmpwn's Wayland window manager
Exec=sway
Type=Applicationsh also exists on my system:
$ file $(which sh)
/usr/bin/sh: symbolic link to bashSearching in the Arch forum hasn't helped.
