Please post exact commands and full output.
Do you have network manager installed?
If you have an ethernet connection, you can just run dhcpcd.
Then, for a long term solution, see the Networking page which is linked from the installation guide:

i have connected my pc to internet with ethenet and dhcpcd, but i want to use wifi, but whene i run the command "wifi-menu -o" it returns me that error:
Invalid interface specification
Usage: wifi-menu [-h | --help] [-o | --obscure] [INTERFACE]
Interactively connect to a wireless network on INTERFACE using netctl.
If only one wireless interface is available, INTERFACE can be omitted.
Arguments:
-h, --help Show this help
-o, --obscure Show asterisks for the characters of the password
and store the password as a hexadecimal string
so I tried to connect to internet by the settings but whene I open the settings->network, the window is all grey with a text that says "NetworkManager must be in esecution", I don't know the correct translation because i have it in another language.
if I type the command
systemctl enable NetworkManager
it gives me this:
Failed to enable unit: File NetworkManager.service: No such file or directory

carru93, it looks like NetworkManager was not installed. But if I'm reading post #6 correctly, you have now installed NetworkManager, but you still are not having success.
If that's the case please again (as I noted in post #2) post your exact commands and full output. Saying "it doesn't work" doesn't give us anything to work with.

Now that i've installed NetworkManager the only problem that I have is that I don't know how to connect my pc to wifi, I use GNOME, so whene I go to the settings -> Network it doesn't show me all the possible wifi connection, but only my lan connection. I think arch can't find my wireles card, but it doesn't give me any error (if it can be useful I have an HP Pavillion 15 p040nl)
I've also try to use network-manager-applet, but if I try to start it with
sudo nm-applet
it returns me this
No protocol specified
Unable to init server: Impossibile connettersi: Connessione rifiutata
(nm-applet:1732): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
if I run
ip link
it returns
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: eno1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether 6c:c2:17:66:f6:fa brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
and if I run
iwlist eno1 scanning
it gives
eno1 Interface doesn't support scanning.

What wireless card do you have?
Offline
Thanks carru93, this is much more useful. And your assessment here is correct:
I think arch can't find my wireles card
This is confirmed by your `ip link` output - eno1 is your ethernet. A wireless interface will (almost) always start with a "w" like wlp3s0 in my case.
Please see the wireless networking page of the wiki which will walk you though identifying your card (to answer Scimmia's question) to identifying and installing the driver you will need. We can help with that as needed, but providing the step you may be stuck on from that wiki page with the output it guided you to collect will best enable us to help.

my wireless card are:
Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter
And
Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
i've just reinstalled the Realtek drivers thinking that was the wireless, now I try with the Broadcom's drivers

You'll need the wl driver:

You could first try the community package broadcom-wl-dkms
Otherwise the aur package b43-firmware is what you are looking for.
EDIT: sry Trilby you were faster.
EDIT2: sry² you are right, looked it up.
EDIT3: since the TO does not know how to use the AUR, suggesting a dkms package is actually bad advice. I revert that too.

svnset, BCM43142 is not supported by b43. If it was, that'd be preferable to wl. Broadom-wl is the only driver for that card.

broadcom-wl is in the AUR, which is why you can't install it with pacman -S.

It does not. Offline installation is the section AFTER the one he linked to.

ok, it works, my main problem with the broadcom-wl installation was that I didn't understood what was the difference between aur and pacman, thanks to all who don't kill me for my stupidity

Broadcom-wl-dkms is now in the main repos. I've not used it myself, but in many respects that seems like it'd be easier (and that is in the wiki).

I reverted my dkms recommendation in my post. To be honest he would've to install dkms (which is nice) , the linux-headers and one should know how to use dkms (rebuild modules if necessary). So keeping track of one aur package is easier in this case and he has to learn it anyways.
