[SOLVED]Sound broken seemingly after the latest kernel update

My spdif alsa sound has gone with the latest kernel update, 4.10.10-1.

aplay -lL
amixer -c$index of card from aplay -l
dmesg | grep snd

and read the following three things thoroughly and come back with more information about your setup
