Recently I'm having a lot of issues with my network at my University. I've never had any issues until recently. My connection cuts out and acts really strange and I have to reconnect all the time to get it working. When I load a web page it just is painfully slow.
My settings for connecting to my campus network in Network Manager "Wi-Fi Security" tab. As a reminder, these settings have worked since the beginning of the semester.
Security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
Anonymous identity:
CA Certificate:
Checked "No CA certificate is required"
PEAP version: Automatic
Inner authentication: MSCHAPv2
Username: user
Password: password
Here is the output of a ping test
ping facebook.com -c 200
--- facebook.com ping statistics ---
200 packets transmitted, 74 received, 63% packet loss, time 200756ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 17.720/24.105/132.784/18.628 ms
Troubleshooting steps taken:
I'm completely updated. I've tried downgrading wpa_supplicant from 2.6-5 to 2.6-4 and rebooted but that did not help.
I removed the Network Manger profile for my campus network and readded it.
Forced Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on the Network Manager profile.
How can I fix this problem? It's very strange to me and frustrating.

Downgrading WPA Supplicant did not fix the issue. Even after a further downgrade to 2.5 I thought I fixed but web pages are still taking forever to load intermittently.

I haven't updated my system for a while (~ a month) then i decided to do so. The result is that i cannot connect to eduroam(WPA2 Enterprise, TTLS+PAP security) anymore. I guess i should open a new thread, but the issues might be related, so i'm leaving this here. Any help is appreciated

Well, i thought it wouldn't be so easy, but downgrading wpa_supplicant to 2.6.4 fixed my issue. Good luck with yours :-)
