So previously I would use obmenu-generator to configure and update obmenu while new apps are installed.
I tried the same today, but the output for obmenu-generator -R gives me error and I am no longer able to update application list.
The error message displayed is something like this.
"Obt-Message: Failed to open an Input Method"
I tried searching on google but didnt found nothing.
Earlier I faced some problems too but arch linux wiki and forums are really cool and helpful, I will give it that.
So anything I can do to update it manually instead of using obmenu-generator.
And if any other information is required I will provide it ASAP.

You mentioned you have read the wiki but your answer is right there: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/openbox#Menus
There are several ways to generate menus mentioned there and if you really want to do it manually, just edit the ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml with your favorite editor.
Also, the obmenu-generator is an AUR package and perhaps just needs rebuilding.
