python-twisted dependancy issues after installing armory

I'm fairly new to arch and this is the first dependency conflict I've had.  Furthermore I'm not really familiar with twisted so I don't know how to resolve this.
Any recommendations?

Re: python-twisted dependancy issues after installing armory

Please search before posting. See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=227513

If you have the same problem with different mirrors, then post the output I requested in post #6 of that thread.

Closing, for deletion.

My bad, you are getting the error for a different package than the one covered in that thread. The armory package is in the AUR, you will need to update that package yourself.

Mod note: reopening topic and moving to AUR Issues.

Thank you for not preemptively closing.  I have been looking and have yet to find anything related to this specific conflict.

Re: python-twisted dependancy issues after installing armory

This is pretty straight forward. armory requires "twisted". "twisted hasn't existed since May 2014. The dep needs updated and the maintainer hasn't been paying attention.

Ok, So armory is functioning despite this.  If there is nothing I can do about it, is there a way to ignore it?

No. Edit the PKGBUILD, change 'twisted' to 'python-twisted', then rebuild the package. Post a comment on the AUR page letting the maintainer know that they should update the package too.

Thanks,  That worked.  It looks like someone else has already left the comment.
