ALSA: Loading default muted sound instead saved unmuted

The problem seems to be well known: Default alsa sound is muted, using alsaconf or any mixer is a way how to unmute sound. After reboot the system loads defaul muted values, not those saved after using mixer setup. The cure known for the old devfs (editing modules.conf) doesn't work for udev and modprobe.conf. Is there any solution right now?

Put alsa in the DAEMONS array of rc.conf. It will save your volume on shutdown and restore them on boot up.

I just figured that out a few hours before reading this, ha. Before that I was wondering why it kept resetting my sound.
