Samba mounts suspend issue

I have a problem where if I have samba mounts mounted from nautilus and forget to unmount them before suspending my laptop, the next time I try to wake up from suspend, it takes a very long time to do so.  Searching around it seems to be a pretty common issue.

Is there a way I could use scripts or something to make it so whenever my laptop goes into suspend, it will unmount any shares first? I'm not sure where to start looking to create scripts of this sort. Thank you!

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan
