alsa failure

In my 810 board alsa is not working.

I ran as root alsaconf.
i got "command not found"
I have already installed "pacman -Sy  alsa"
Still the problem persists.

Alsaconf is part of alsa-utils. It's also not really necessary any more for most people... Try installing alsa-utils and then running alsamixer - if your sound module has been loaded you should be able to unmute and change the volume on the necessary channels. Then add 'alsa' to your DAEMONS array in rc.conf, and the volumes will be stored when you shut down and restored on boot.
