[SOLVED] Nvidia driver doesn't load on Linux 4.13.9

Currently, I have linux-4.13.4-1 and nvidia-387.12-1 installed. With these packages, everything works perfectly.

However when I upgrade to the newest versions, linux-4.13.9-1 and nvidia-387.22-3, the nvidia module doesn't even load; "modprobe nvidia" prints out "Error: could not insert 'nvidia' :Exec format error".

I had to downgrade these packages in order to get my system working. Is the nvidia package incompatible with linux 4.13.9?

There "was" an issue. It should be fixed with the package versions you mention. Did you reboot after the update? What's in your dmesg? Which graphics card do you have?

Yeah you're right, the issue is fixed. nvidia-387.22-1 was the broken package.
