Hi,
after a recent update arch began behaving strangely, if i pressed a key for a while it would stop after about a second.
Inspection showed that ca. every second the following key press is registered by arch "^@". This problem only exists when using libinput as input driver,
it exists when using x as well as in command line mode. It does not exist in the grub command line as well as in other linux distributions, so it cannot be a hardware issue. please let me know if you have any recommendations because arch is unusable like this.

This issue pops up periodically. There has been no sure solution from what I've seen, but some steps that help. Please check the following related threads to see if they can help:

Note though that previous incidences have *not* been in X, only in tty - so this may be different.

Welcome to the forums johannesl
Usually I'd tell you to search the forums, as there have been several posts about this issue. Unfortunately our forum search engine doesn't recognise ^@ as a search term, making the relevant threads somewhat tricky to find so I'll let you off
