hey, how come your icons in the systray appear so small? are you using kde 3.5.3 or 3.5.2?

That's KDE 3.5.3. But I've no idea what you're talking about, my systray icons always appeared the same to me.

I'll fix it shortly... sad

P.S. I tried to recreate the shot but they are a little different.

It's called 'Indiglo', I made it to match some GTK theme I had hacked apart awhile ago. PM me with your email address and I'll send the theme to you. I don't have anywhere to upload it.

All the text stuff on the desktop is conky. I just used some creative spacing to spread it out how I want it.

Re: July 2006 Screenshots

I have just started using arch linux and have installed openbox, rox, etc. My PC monitor doesn't support 24-bit resolution (the screen flickers), so I use 16 bit. Whenever, I run visibility, the background shows up as purple, and the icons are not drawn properly, though in the config it is gray. In 24 bit it looks okay.

Is this a problem in visibility? Does anybody else experience it?

@cdhotfire thanks
@IsSuE it's basicly Smoke, but I changed the font, the menu colors and removed the maximize button. Just overwrite the theme file with this.

Is there a way to use the Candido-Candy theme in Xfce and get square corners? I changed the option in its gtkrc but it didn't seem to do anything.

if you change the option in the gtkrc the corners of the theme will be squared like http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/9274 … red4mv.jpg

To get window squared corners you'll have to wait the next xfwm4 Candido-Engine-Xfwm4 release, that will contain the squared style window borders.

What is candido by the way ? (sorry for this lame question but i really wondered that..)

I've used composite extensions in Xorg with GNOME but it was somehow unstable (make some strange lines on the screen when moving the window) and slow..
