Impossible to compile fingerprint(aur)

Hi,

as explaind in the title I am trying to install on my HP spectre x360 the fingerprint-gui software (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fingerprint-gui). But when I run

 makepkg -s PKGBUILD

I get this error

ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

Looking at the code I sought that it was due to the impossibility for my system to download (maybe due to my internet provider) the file "fingerprint-gui-1.09.tar.gz", so I download it manually and I modifyed the PKGBUILD source to use the downloaded "fingerprint-gui-1.09.tar.gz" instead of download it. But even after that I can't compile it because:

 fingerprint-gui-1.09/upek/lib/libbsapi.so.4.0: truncated gzip input
bsdtar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.

Any idea of how to solve the problem? Did I do some mistake during the process?

Thanks.

Re: Impossible to compile fingerprint(aur)

This makes no sense, you should not need to edit the PKGBUILD to use the file you downloaded if it is the same file.

And truncated gzip input indicates you did not in fact successfully download the file.

Re: Impossible to compile fingerprint(aur)

The current fingerprint-gui snapshot from the AUR builds fine in a clean chroot, without modification.

I suspect you have networking issues which is why your file is getting truncated (which would also explain why your checksums do not match). Please start afresh, with an unmodified PKGBUILD, and share with us the full output you get when you run makepkg.
