Testing systemd.networkd config file

Hello all,

Need to change a systemd.networkd config file on a remote computer - trouble is that I do not have access to it so I need to test the file to make sure it works.

Essentially, I need to change a DHCP config to a static one - Is there a way to test the config for X minutes to make sure it works, then revert back to the other config just in case it didn't to not lose the remote access?
