[kde-unstable] Plasma 5.13 beta

Plasma 5.13 beta is now available for testing in the [kde-unstable] repo. See https://www.kde.org/announcements/plasma-5.12.90.php for the release notes. New packages: plasma-browser-integration

As usual, you need to have [testing] enabled. Report packaging issues to bugs.archlinux.org with the [kde-unstable] label, and upstream issues to bugs.kde.org.

Known issues: the default panel layout for new users is broken. This is unrelated to Plasma or Qt, it's a GCC 8 issue currently under investigation.

Happy testing!

Re: [kde-unstable] Plasma 5.13 beta

I have installed Plasma 5.13.
So far I have found one issue, unable to open telegram-desktop anymore.

$ telegram-desktop
QApplication: invalid style override passed, ignoring it.
fish: 'telegram-desktop' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)

It was working fine with Plasma 5.12.x

Nothing to do with Plasma, it just needs a rebuild against Qt 5.11

New window rules are neither applied nor saved. Existing ones are enforced. Any ideas?

Re: [kde-unstable] Plasma 5.13 beta

I'm testing Plasma on Wayland and overall the 5.13 beta is quite stable and I see a lot of improvements. From time to time plasmashell will crash if I open the fullscreen dash menu (I can start plasmashell again via ALT + SPACE), but I think this could be just an issue that might be fixed with recompiling.

I've tried to play several games (trough XWayland) and there are some issue that didn't exist some weeks ago. E.g. F1 2017 will crash during the intro video, it only works if I disable fullscreen mode in the Feral launcher. From my point of view this could be a bug related to xorg-server-xwayland 1.20, it worked well in the past.

Another issue with games like Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider or Ballistic Overkill are very strange mouse input movements, sometimes the mouse cursor jumps by 180° or you cannot move freely around without somehow locking the mouse on one side. As this issue was not there during my last tests I think it is probably related to a change on the Plasma side, but I could be wrong, there have been updates for XWayland and libinput as well.

Did anybody experience the same? Any suggestion where to report these bugs?
