Re: [SOLVED][Lenovo Carbon X1] No lid switch events anymore

Tested with LTS kernel: Same thing, when I close/open the lid, no event is generated anymore...

Re: [SOLVED][Lenovo Carbon X1] No lid switch events anymore

I've just experienced this after upgrading on my T470s, as well. I'm trying to narrow down the offending package, but want to let you know you're not alone in the meantime.

Re: [SOLVED][Lenovo Carbon X1] No lid switch events anymore

Looks like this is fixed in 4.16.12. The lid switch events are missing for me in 10 and 11, but 4.16.12 restores them.

Re: [SOLVED][Lenovo Carbon X1] No lid switch events anymore

Thanks cdown. Unfortunately upgrading linux package to 4.16.12 did not solve the problem on my side: After reboot, evtest still don't see lid switch events :-(

Re: [SOLVED][Lenovo Carbon X1] No lid switch events anymore

Problem solved after a Lenovo technician found that the small magnet glued down the trackpad unleashed. The problem was a kind of hardware problem... Thanks for helping.
