NetworkManager for OpenVPN disabled?

I am trying to configure my network to use a VPN connection (the protocol is IKEv2)

I have openvpn and networkmanager-openvpn installed

 jiewmeng@JM  ~  pacman -Qs openvpn
local/networkmanager-openvpn 1.8.4-1
    NetworkManager VPN plugin for OpenVPN
local/openvpn 2.4.4-1
    An easy-to-use, robust and highly configurable VPN (Virtual Private Network)

When I try to add a VPN connection, I see that my inputs are disabled:

What am I missing? Am I on the right track?

As far as I can tell IKEv2 (which seems to be related to IPsec) *is not* openvpn so the openvpn cannot do what you want.
