I'm using a laptop with hybrid graphics intel/nvidia. I've followed the instructions in the wiki entry about Nvidia Optimus, meaning my Xorg.conf and .xinitrc are exactly the same as in the article. Now though, xrandr acts as if there were two LVDS displays, which confuses my window manager (bspwm) about needing to set up a workspace for a non-existant display. Here's the output of xrandr:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1600 x 900, maximum 8192 x 8192

As you can see, there's a display called LVDS-0 "connected" in the xrandr output, which doesn't actually exist. I've tried running
xrandr --output LVDS-0 --off
But nothing happens when executing that command. Anyone know how to fix this?

I managed to fix the issue of bspwm by adding
bspc monitor LVDS-0 -r
to my bspwmrc, but that's just a hack.
