mergerfs: EXT4 or BTRFS

Hi,
I want to use mergerfs and I'm not sure which filesystem I should choose.

Most HowTos are using EXT4, but I'm a fan of BTRFS.

BTRFS-partitions should not be filled completely. Is this a problem with mergerfs, because there is the option "minfreespace"?
BTRFS has autodefrag.
I need no snapshots in the mergerfs-pool.

So should I use EXT4 or is BTRFS also OK?

Re: mergerfs: EXT4 or BTRFS

Apparently...

mergerfs does not support the copy-on-write (CoW) behavior found in aufs and overlayfs.

So I guess BTRFS is a no-go

Edit: I think I'm confusing something... ignore ignore ignore
