KDE taking a long time to start up from sleep

KDE used to take 2-3 seconds to start up from sleep, but recently it's been taking upwards of 30. I checked dmesg, and this is the error it's been showing me (or at least this was highlighted in red).

[ 5625.097632] [TTM] Buffer eviction failed
[ 5640.094999] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: DRM: failed to idle channel 0 [DRM]
[ 5640.095019] pci_pm_suspend(): nouveau_pmops_suspend+0x0/0x70 [nouveau] returns -16
[ 5640.095021] dpm_run_callback(): pci_pm_suspend+0x0/0x120 returns -16
[ 5640.095024] PM: Device 0000:01:00.0 failed to suspend async: error -16
[ 5640.095162] PM: Some devices failed to suspend, or early wake event detected

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's hard to say much without some more info. Can you post the rest of dmesg?

And please remove KDE from the equation. Switch into the multi-user.target and suspend/resume from/to there.

Re: KDE taking a long time to start up from sleep

Seth's suggestion froze my computer. The issue seems to have resolved itself for now but I don't understand how it started or ended. I'll post again if the issue unresolves itself.

Re: KDE taking a long time to start up from sleep

What "froze" your computer? Switching to the multi-user.target or suspending from there?
How do you define "freeze"? Did the system eg. still respond to ping requests?
