[SOLVED] nvidia 410

Using nvidia-dkms and nvidia-utils with GNOME/gdm, just get a blinking cursor when I upgrade

Please provide some more details -- e.g. hardware, journal, dkms build log, etc..

Also, are you sure this is caused by the testing/nvidia package? Can you try the extra/nvidia-dkms package?

Everything is fine on nvidia 396.54.

With 410, the dkms builds fine but when I reboot I can't start the X session

Please post full logs, not just snippets. The journal from an affected session would be useful too.

Sorry for not giving better details.

I got it working by reinstalling the kernel and nvidia-dkms and forcing mkinitcpio to regenerate the kernel image.
