Re: Help with VMware...C header files???

pkgrel=5
_patchver=102
'c97a07443c0b9124d7cecec1e15bee07' 'd4ed26eecc1c0fb5108f2b1e5e2bcfc7')

These are the only lines that are different from the PKGBUILD at AUR (first one is obviously optional).

Re: Help with VMware...C header files???

uh...one more prob...
when i ran pacman -A of the .pkg..file, it said this:
pacman -A vmware-player-1.0.1-4.pkg.tar.gz
loading package data... done.
checking for file conflicts...
error: the following file conflicts were found:
  vmware-player: /etc/vmware/installer.sh: exists in filesystem
  vmware-player: /etc/vmware/locations: exists in filesystem
  vmware-player: /etc/vmware/not_configured: exists in filesystem

errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

im guessing i was trying to install before trying this method...so is it ok if i just delete those files in /etc?

Re: Help with VMware...C header files???

You could try running pacman -Af to force package to load ....not always a good idea ....
