[SOLVED] Termite does not use vim powerline fonts

I did a reinstallation today.
I have vim and airline plugin installed. I think I have installed Inconsolata for Powerline correctly. All I see by default is some rectangles on a line, without the arrows. When I set

let g:airline_powerline_fonts = 1

in .vimrc, some extra symbols appear on the line.
And possibly related: Termite is not able to display unicode characters at all.
In my last installation it worked just fine.

.vimrc https://bpaste.net/show/8c677c566bea
.config/termite/config https://bpaste.net/show/60c4b58ec005
locales: en_GB.utf8
en_US.utf8
zh_TW.utf8

SOLVED:
For some reason the problems seems to have solved itself. Sorry, but I am not quite sure what happened. I think this have to do with locale configs. This might have solved it.

sudo localedef -i en_GB -f UTF-8 en_GB.UTF-8
