I have a doubt... do anyone know why did arch switch to gtk 2.10 when not even gtk-engines-cvs compiles against it (requires 2.8 it seems).... it's not like the old engines don't work (a link solves it for now). Also, when will engines build against it?

The engines seem to work fine with it.

I don't know, in my machine it looks the engines only in /usr/lib/gtk2.0/2.10.0/engines, not the ones in /usr/lib/gtk2.0/2.4.0/engines. And gtk-engines-cvs (from aur) complains about not finding gtk 2.8 while doing the make...

The directory thing is an internal change, the new gtk-engines package handles it. The CVS problem I'm not sure about though...

2.10 works perfectly for me. All I really needed to do was recompile a few packages. Those being my packages for the rezlooks engine, murrine engine and gtk-engines (I use the unstable version) and all work well.
