Visual Studio Code - Switch from AUR package to AMR package

When I want to switch over to the Arch Main Repo package I'm offered to uninstall the AUR package. Great!
But currently, when I fire up code, 7 editor windows are opened, with each editor window having many editors/tabs open. Will this also happen after the switch ?

I don't think so. When I last installed the VSCode editor, it actually created a new "VSCode - OSS" directory, presumably because they can't just use the same naming convention or whatnot. Regardless, you can drop the contents of your VSCode configs into the "- OSS" variant and re-launch VSCode and it should all work out.

What's the path to the new "VSCode - OSS" directory? I only know of "/opt/visual-studio-code" and "~/.vscode".

It is in "$HOME/.config/Code - OSS/"

OK, thanks. On my box that location is still named "~/.config/Code" (like you pointed out) because I didn't switch over yet. I'll backup all three directories just in case.
