[SOLVED] WiFi can not connect

Hi,

I'm using Arch for a while, but I can't connect internet trough wifi. So, I want to fix the issue. I'm using Openbox without a display manager. I also followed all the Arch wikis and also searched the internet and I could'nt solve the issue so far. Before Arch, I was using Debian with the same configuration and wifi had worked fine.

This tells us nothing. What exactly have you tried? Post exact commands and their output.

Re: [SOLVED] WiFi can not connect

Try "connect -w" and also monitor "dmesg -w" in parallel.

Re: [SOLVED] WiFi can not connect

Hah?
You run "dmesg -w" in one terminal and "iw dev wlp2s0 connect -w OpenWrt" in another. The following dmesg is just for convenience, so you can see relevant kernel level reactions immediately.

Ok!
Thats the output:

iw dev wlp2s0 connect -w OpenWrt
connected to 00:0c:43:76:20:89

And:

dmesg -w
[12809.357658] wlp2s0: authenticate with 00:0c:43:76:20:89
[12809.376742] wlp2s0: send auth to 00:0c:43:76:20:89 (try 1/3)

[12809.390555] wlp2s0: deauthenticating from 00:0c:43:76:20:89 by local choice (Reason: 3=DEAUTH_LEAVING)

Still no internet trough wifi available.

Re: [SOLVED] WiFi can not connect

You associate and then do something on the client to immediately cut the connection.

systemctl list-unit-files --state=enabled

There's the output:

systemctl list-unit-files --state=enabled
UNIT FILE STATE
org.cups.cupsd.path enabled
autofs.service enabled
autovt@.service enabled
dbus-org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.service enabled
dbus-org.freedesktop.nm-dispatcher.service enabled
dbus-org.wicd.daemon.service enabled
dhcpcd.service enabled
getty@.service enabled
NetworkManager-dispatcher.service enabled
NetworkManager-wait-online.service enabled
NetworkManager.service enabled
org.cups.cupsd.service enabled
wicd.service enabled
org.cups.cupsd.socket enabled
remote-fs.target enabled

15 unit files listed.

Re: [SOLVED] WiFi can not connect

dhcpcd.service enabled
NetworkManager.service enabled
wicd.service enabled

So you have *three* network managing services enabled and attempt a manual connection on top… m(

How did you install archlinux?

I have installed Archlinux according to the Archlinux wikis. But, I haven't wifi from the beginning, so I have tried many solutions from my search in the net... Maybe thats the problem...

Re: [SOLVED] WiFi can not connect

Thank you seth and jasonwryan,

I disable wicd and networkmanager services and after reboot, wifi is functioning.

So, it's solved.
