Can't run libreoffice

hello,

libreoffice is not running after trying to recover a file (it fails at recovering). None of any libreoffice works (calc, writer...). It just displays the "libreoffice" image, it asks me to recover file, i discard or accept and then it closes. What might it be?? pls help

Re: Can't run libreoffice

Run it in a terminal, post the output in [ code ] tags. Also ensure that there is no zombie libreoffice process remaining.

Re: Can't run libreoffice

I get this:

QPaintDevice: Cannot destroy paint device that is being painted .

And i checked zombie processes by "ps aux | grep Z" and there isn't anything

if i run libreoffice by using "sudo" it works. Without sudo, it not works.

Re: Can't run libreoffice

I'm not sure you'd have a guaranteed Zombie process, just look for libreoffice, soffice, lowriter and whatever process names they may have currently.

This might be an incompatibility with the Qt VCL, what if you switch to a another VCL theme e.g. gtk3_kde5
