I have many jog files on my hard drive, but Mirage and feh both fail to show/view/read them. I can view same jpg images files in firefox without any problem .
[arnuld@arch64 Downloads]$ feh rosewood-sheesham-inlct22-induscraft-honey-brown-original-imaf8kc3zukw8mmh.jpg
feh WARNING: rosewood-sheesham-inlct22-induscraft-honey-brown-original-imaf8kc3zukw8mmh.jpg - No Imlib2 loader for that file format

Seems to be an old problem. First hit on a search on Google:

Can you open any jpg files with feh?

Are you sure that's a standard jpg? What's the output of
file rosewood-sheesham-inlct22-induscraft-honey-brown-original-imaf8kc3zukw8mmh.jpg

I renamed it to table.jpg.
[arnuld@arch64 Downloads]$ file table.jpg
table.jpg: RIFF (little-endian) data, Web/P image, VP8 encoding, 832x832, Scaling: [none]x[none], YUV color, decoders should clamp

Nope. I cleaned Firefox cache (Ctrl+Alt+Del, Everything) and it still opens

Oh.. I was not aware of this that such image file format exists. I use DuckDuckGo to search and just right-click and save the image in whatever format it says. Extension was jpeg by default but I guess I got cheated. Like you pointed out imlib2 AUR package was needed. I installed it and everything works fine. Many thanks =:-)
