I needed some clarity on the Arch as guest on VMware article. I am installing 2 Arch vms on an ESXi host -- 1 as server and another as a PCOIP(on my local LAN)
https://i.imgur.com/MCPEIn3.png
The statement marked with the arrow -- does that represent the modules above it or below it?
I currently have a working Arch install in 1 of the VMs, what will adding these modules in the mkinitcpio give me?
Do some of the modules conflict with each other -- eg vmw_vmci & vmw_vsock_vmci_transport -- should I use either or and if so what are the advantages of each?
If I install the official VMware tools -- it also provides it's own vmci, vmnet vmmon etc. How are these different than the ones in open-vm-tools
I will re-write the wiki article after I get some clarity...
Thanks.

I have no relevant experience, but I see no ambiguity in how it is currently written. The part marked with the arrow seems to me to be clearly applicable to the two drivers listed below that part. If this is not actually the case, then it's not ambiguous, but rather horribly presented and inaccurate. My interpretation would also be supported by the fact that vsock is explicitly mentioened in that arrowed statement and vsock is one of the two below.
EDIT: perhaps if any edit is needed, perhaps just changing "These drivers ..." to "The following drivers ..."

For the re-write -- I was thinking more in terms of explaining what the modules do and whether they are relevant in a VMware workstation/player vs a hypervisor etc.
I would think that vmwgfx is probably not needed in a server VM. shared folders (vmwhgfs) is also pointless in a hypervisor setting especially in an ESXi setting since it is considered a security risk and therefore is not supported. Another thing it mentions is that some of the modules are auto loaded by udev but doesn't clearly state which ones. I am still trying to find some links etc which corroborate that statement and explain a bit more on it.
