Hi,
I recently switched from Ubuntu to Arch and I'd like to use Pixeluvo app fro image editing (http://www.pixeluvo.com/). I used it on Ubuntu without any problems.
I tried to install it on Arch as follows:
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/pixeluvo.git
cd pixeluvo
makepkg -siand I saw the following error:
==> Making package: pixeluvo 1.6.0_2-1 (Wed 03 Jul 2019 12:59:10 AM CEST)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Installing missing dependencies...
error: target not found: qt4
==> ERROR: 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies.It says that qt4 package couldn't be found. I tried to install it, but with no luck. On Aur I can find qt in version 5 only. I tried to find any solution on the web, but none of them helped.
I really would like to keep using Arch and Pixeluvo at the same time.
I appreciate any help.
Regards,
Piotr

Please post error messages in English: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … s_and_code
qt4 is also an AUR package; you'll need to build/install that first...

You said that you tried to install QT, what was it that you tried to install?
Edit0: Asking for version and package name.

@Zod
I tried to install it as follows:
sudo pacman -S qtand it installed correctly.
I also tried
sudo pacman -S qt4but I've got the response that package was not found.
PS. I changed messages to English

The package is not found because pacman only searches the official repositories, not the AUR: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Aur

Interestingly enough, when I type...
sudo pacman -S qtI get...

I installed all of this qt5 stuff (selection: default=all), but Pixeluvo relies on qt4 and this dependency is not resolved. I try to clone this git repo with qt4 (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt4/) tomorrow and install it again, but as far as I remember I already tried this and got the build error. I tried different things, so I'm not completely sure. I'll check it tomorrow.

I installed all of this qt5 stuff (selection: default=all), but Pixeluvo relies on qt4 and this dependency is not resolved.
Because, for the third time, it is an AUR package...

In the meantime might you have to uninstall QT5 and its unneeded dependencies before going for QT4?
When you start this tomorrow, please bring exact input/output with you.
Edit0:Clarification

I didn't wait until tomorrow because this issue was bothering me.
I removed qt5 package
sudo pacman -Rdd qtThen, installed qt4
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt4/
cd qt4
makepkg -siThis took a looong time and I kept getting many errors or warnings from C++ code in the output. It doesn't make sense to paste them here because I got dozens of these errors or maybe more.
Then, I got the following output
==> Tidying install...

-> Purging unwanted files...
-> Removing static library files...
-> Stripping unneeded symbols from binaries and libraries...

Thanks for your patience and help. I'm new to Arch, so I could have dummy issues. ;-)
